Le vendredi 28 mars 2025, l' Etat du Sénégal a lancé lors d' une cérémonie virtuelle un bond loan through a public offering (Ape) of 150 billion CFA francs on the regional stock exchange market of securities (BRVM)

L'opération aims to mobilize local savings to finance the investments planned in the 2025 budget and relating in particular to infrastructure, energy, education and health. It is managed by the Directorate-General for Public Accountancy and Trésor, under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance and Budget. The bonds issued as part of the 150 billion CFA bond issued aim to ensure “intrinsic” development that is not subject to currency fluctuations because, providing the State of Senegal with financing in local currency

Le ministre sénégalais en charge des Finances et du budget, Cheikh Diba, a invité during the ceremony to launch this bond, its citizens and partners to “contribute to shaping the destiny of the country, by participating in this patriotic public appeal operation & agrave; saving and supporting the State to finance its legitimate ambitions for sustainable development”. Investors and individuals are thus offered attractive interest rates of between 6.40% and 6.95%, with a payment that will be made semi-annually.
