Following its issuance of a targeted auction of 364-day treasury bills and comparable 3 and 5-year treasury bonds, the Senegalese Public Treasury collected the sum of 193.002 billion FCFA on Friday, May 2, 2025, on the UEMOA financial market this Friday, May 2, 2025.

Initially, the State offered 180 billion FCFA for subscription. Faced with market enthusiasm, the total of bids reached 193.002 billion CFA francs, i.e. a coverage rate of 107.22%. The Treasury chose to retain all the offers received, reflecting an absorption rate of 100%

Three types of instruments were issued: 364-day BATs offering a return of 7.22%, 3-year OATs at 7.49% and 5-year OATs at 7.49% and 5-year OATs at 7.14%. The interest of the BAT will be paid in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the securities set at one million FCFA. For bonds, interest will be paid annually, at a rate of 6.30% for 3-year bonds (due on 17 March 2028) and 6.45% for 5-year bonds (due on 5 May 2030

According to data from the UMOA-Titres agency, Senegal has raised a total of 460 billion CFA francs on the regional market since the beginning of 2025, representing 10.07% of the global volume of public issues in the UMOA space. At the same time, the country has already repaid 337 billion FCFA in capital and paid 52 billion FCFA in interest
