The visa referenced VI/MAT/01/2025 marks the culmination of a rigorous regulatory process, initiating a new dynamic for the sophistication of Moroccan financial markets. This contract is part of the framework of law No. 42-12, which legally regulates the futures market in Morocco. Now admitted to trading on the financial instrument futures market, this contract relates to a purchase or sale transaction that is fixed at predefined dates, and whose value is based on the evolution of the MASI 20 index, a stock market barometer designed to reflect the performance of the twenty most liquid companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. This new instrument is characterised by standardized contractual characteristics. With this initiative, the AMMC confirms its ambition to consolidate the depth and resilience of the Moroccan capital market. The introduction of this forward contract represents a strategic advance for institutional and retail investors who want to hedge against market fluctuations or to diversify their positions.
