In March 2025, total electricity production in Senegal improved by 16.8% compared to the previous month.

The increase in total electricity production reflects the increase in Senelec's purchases from other producers (+21.4%) and its own production (+4.5%). In March 2025, according to the ANSD, production in value of attapulgite (-59.5%), gold (-13.0%) and iodized salt (-6.9%)

fell at a monthly rate.

That of zircon, on the other hand, increased by 76.1% over the same period. Followed by the IHPI, industrial production increased by 19.7% year-on-year.
