For the first time, the market capitalization of the shares market of the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) exceeded the mark of 12,000 billion CFA francs at the end of the trading session on Friday, June 20, 2025.

The capitalization stood at 12,070.845 billion FCFA against 11,990.455 billion FCFA the day before, an increase of 80.39 billion FCFA the day before, an increase of 80.39 billion. This level of capitalization testifies to the dynamism of the fifth largest stock exchange on the continent with 48 listed companies

The level reached by the capitalization of the equity market is in correlation with the improvement noted in recent days in the indices. This is how the BRVM Composite index gained 0.67% to 313.02 points against 310.94 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM 30 index rose by 0.72% to 156.33 points against 155.21 points previously. As for the BRVM Prestige index, it was up by 1.00% to 130.89 points against 129.60 points

The capitalization of the bond market has fallen by 1.899 billion, to 10 446.980 billion FCFA against 10 448.879 billion FCFA on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The total value of transactions was 1.655 billion FCFA compared to 1.341 billion FCFA the day before.
