The Private Sector Taxation Working Group (GTF) has published its 2025 tax proposal platform. It aims to correct certain fiscal inequities, strengthen the competitiveness of businesses and improve the mobilization of public revenue

.

The 2025 tax proposal platform includes eleven flagship measures aimed at correcting imbalances, strengthening business competitiveness and improving the business climate. By sending this platform to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, this grouping of professional organizations, companies, research firms and tax experts intends to positively influence future finance law. Based on tax hearings conducted in several sectors, the first measure recommended concerns increasing the professional portion that can be deducted from mixed expenses. Currently limited to 30%, this deduction is considered insufficient in a context where businesses often use personal property for business purposes. The private sector is proposing to increase it to 50% in order to better reflect economic realities.

The Gtf also proposes to introduce a 25% reduction for professional expenses on salaries, as well as a tax reduction taking into account the number of dependent children. This reform is inspired by the systems already in force in several countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) where similar relief exists to support the purchasing power of

households.
