The Senegalese Ministry of Finance and Budget announced the approval of the second review of the economic program supported by the IMF's Economic Policy Coordination Instrument.
 The financial institution thus recognizes the good economic and financial performance achieved in the execution of the program, says the Department of Budget.
 The decision on the conclusion of this second conclusive review of the ICPE programme will be effective from Tuesday 12 January 2021.
 Despite the health and economic crisis, "the year 2020 has seen intense activity, so much so that the objectives of collecting budget revenues are to date met or even exceeded; public spending is being paid at a satisfactory rate," the statement said
For the Senegalese ministry, the main quantitative management indicators are achieved, including the budget deficit target, the floor of tax revenues, the ceiling of payment authorities, the floor of social spending, the stock of public debt.
