The various missions of the cotton-cashew council have borne fruit. Cotton cultivation has just been reintroduced in the Dabakala region.

Practiced in the 1970s in various localities of the region, cotton cultivation had disappeared from the beginning of the 1980s. Many farmers found this cultivation too restrictive, especially the harvesting of cotton fibres.
After criss-crossing several villages, emissaries from the cotton-cashew council are working to get the farmers to reintroduce this crop in this area which they deem favorable and suitable.

The areas of Bidiala, Kanieguema and Sorolo, located in the sub-prefecture of Tindenin Bamarasso, are reconnecting with cotton fields.
