Nigerian Olugbenga Agboola has made his startup the third unicorn in the African financial sector. Its goal is to make all online payment systems interoperable. After raising $170 million, start-up Flutterwave has surpassed one billion dollars in capitalization, becoming the third "unicorn" of the financial sector on the continent.
The company co-founded and co-led by Nigerians Olugbenga Agboola and Iyinoluwa Aboyeji offer a technical solution that makes the multitude of existing online payment services interoperable.

The two young Nigerian computer scientists have also developed a unique application allowing merchants to collect payments on a simple mobile phone, without having to worry about the service used by the customer or the compatibility between the systems of different banks.
