The Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources, through its Technical Secretariat for Beekeeping (STA) is committed to promoting the beekeeping sector. It organized from April 6 to 10, 2021 in Bobo-Dioulasso, a training workshop for specialists in bee health.

As part of the implementation of the West Africa Competitiveness Support Program, Burkina Faso component (PACAO-BF), specialists have strengthened their technical capacities on bee health.
This 5-day session aims to strengthen the technical capacities of participants, with a view to contributing to the improvement of bee health and the quality of hive products. It concerns not only agents of the National Livestock Laboratory with basic skills in animal health and production, but also laboratory technicians, veterinarians, livestock technicians from regional livestock laboratories and regional directorates. in charge of animal resources.
The trainer, Dr Bénéwendé Aristide Kaboré, specialist in animal production and sustainable development, indicates that it was a question of strengthening the capacities of the participants on the diagnosis of bee diseases, on the taking of samples for laboratory diagnosis and on the control quality of hive products.
