The creation of an industrial free zone, specialized economic zones and the existence of an Investment Code make Benin a promising market for Moroccan operators.

Beini is increasingly becoming a favorable market for Moroccan investors and exporters. The country offers opportunities in particular in tourism, the processing of agri-food products, energy and hydrocarbons.
During a webinar organized by the Moroccan Association of Exporters (Asmex) on the theme "Doing Business in Benin", in partnership with Harvard Consulting, Philippe Cordier, expert in operational management, individual and collective performance and intercultural risk management identified business tourism, ecological and leisure as an important area with high potential, particularly in terms of hotel infrastructure needs.
He sees agribusiness as a sector of the future in Benin, where agriculture is the main source of wealth and generates 88% of export earnings. For the energy and hydrocarbons sector, it is an opportunity for investors because of the many customs and tax advantages put in place by the government in relation to these areas of activity.
According to Philippe Cordier, the exploitation of these potentials will make it possible to develop trade between Morocco and Benin, which currently amounts to $ 104.7 million in Moroccan exports and $ 90.6 thousand in Beninese exports. The most exported products by Morocco to Benin are fertilizers ($65.9 million), sugars and sweet preparations ($10 million), electrical equipment ($7.2 million) and meat and fish ($6.5 million). Conversely, the most imported products by Morocco are wood and coal ($51.7 thousand) and fruit ($37.5 thousand).
