The Council of Ministers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), which held an extraordinary session last Thursday, April 29, by videoconference, made changes to the head of the Regional Council for Public Savings and Financial Markets (Crepmf). As of May 1, 2021, Togolese Badanam Patoki is the new president of the body for a three-year term.

Senegalese Mamadou Ndiaye, who took control of this Union in 2017 and led several major projects, passes the baton to Togolese Badanam Patoki. This appointment was made in application of the orientations of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of UEMOA whose twenty-second ordinary session took place on March 25th.
