The director general of the Coffee-Cocoa Council, Yves Ibrahima Koné, announced that cocoa production is estimated at 2.22 million tonnes for the 2020-2021 campaign.

Côte d'Ivoire, the world's largest cocoa producer, harvested 2.225 million tonnes of beans for the 2020-2021 campaign. According to Yves Ibrahima Koné, the country produced 1.675 million tonnes for the main campaign against a volume of 550,000 tonnes for the intermediate campaign. The Decent Income Differential (DRD), of the order of 400 FCFA per ton, approved by traders and chocolate makers, generated 516 billion FCFA as income for farmers.
