The main indicators of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) had a bearish weekend. The market capitalization of the equity market recorded a decrease of 141.932 billion FCFA.

The trading day of this Friday, May 14, 2021 ended with a sharp drop in the main indicators. The BRVM 10 index (the index of the stock market's 10 flagship stocks) fell 5.23% to 127.78 points against 134.83 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM Composite index (the general stock market index) recorded a drop of 3.06% to 149.44 points against 154.16 points previously.

As for the market capitalization of the equity market, it recorded a decrease of 141.932 billion FCFA, standing at 4497.304 billion FCFA against 4639.236 billion FCFA the day before. That of the bond market was found, on the other hand, with an increase of 3.575 billion FCFA, standing at 6285.639 billion FCFA against 6282.064 billion FCFA the day before. The total value of transactions stood at 455.011 million FCFA against 986.228 million FCFA the day before, a decrease of 531.217 million FCFA.
The TOP 5 of the highest price increases are respectively occupied by the following stocks: Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire (up 7.49% to 1,795 FCFA), Tractafric Motors Côte d'Ivoire (up 7.46% to 2,665 FCFA), PALM Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.44% to 3,465 FCFA), SITAB (plus 7.31% to 1,835 FCFA) and BOA Mali (plus 6.87% to 1,400 FCFA). Flop 5 of the largest price declines is respectively occupied by the following stocks: Sonatel (minus 9.73% at 13,500 FCFA), NEI CEDA Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.25% at 300 FCFA), BOA Côte d' Ivoire (minus 4.17% to 3,450 FCFA), BOA Niger (minus 4.11% to 3,500 FCFA) and Bolloré Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.68% to 1,440 FCFA).
