Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire will distribute dividends to its shareholders at FCFA 363,665 (€ 0.55) net per share. This is a first for the swiss group's subsidiary in a decade. At the ordinary general meeting last Friday, the managers of Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire decided to distribute dividends to the company's shareholders due to the good performance recorded at the end of the 2020 financial year. "The activities in 2020 took place in a relatively difficult social and economic environment, marked by an unprecedented health crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic," said the statement published in this context.

The different product categories, represented by the brands MAGGI®, NESCAFE®, NIDO®, MILO®, CERELAC® and other children's products, have experienced very good growth thanks to a strategy focused on consumers and innovation. The company's net profit jumped 893% to FCFA 4.02 billion (€ 6.1 million) against FCFA 405.5 million (€ 618,000) at the beginning of 2020. Its turnover increased by 16% to FCFA 48 billion (€ 73.1 million).

For the full year 2020, Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire made a net profit of FCFA 20.89 billion (€ 31.8 million) resulting in gross dividends of FCFA 8.9 billion (€ 13.5 million). The company said it wants to continue its green crusade through various initiatives in favor of environmental protection, the fight against deforestation, the management of plastic waste and the promotion of a green economy.
