In its meeting on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, the Council of Ministers, adopted a report on the implementation situation of the budget and the treasury of the State, fiscal year 2021. As of March 31, expenditure amounts to CFAF 650.99 billion.

Government spokesman Ousseni Tamboura explained that the budget has been executed to the tune of 495.0086 billion FCFA in revenue and 650.99 billion in expenditure, as of March 31, 2021. This represents an implementation rate of 22.95% for revenue and 24.55% for expenditure, compared to forecasts. Compared to 2020, at the same time, these implementation rates are clearly improving. They were 20% for revenue and 22.87% for expenditure, as of March 31, 2020.

With regard to cash management, receipts as at 31 March 2021 amounted to 936.039 billion CFA francs against 610.037 billion in 2020. As for the disbursements made, they are 798.095 billion CFA francs against about 611 billion, at March 31, 2020.
