The training and research center of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), in partnership with Afreximbank and the World Organization of Factoring Companies (FCI) is launching this Tuesday a series of online training sessions on the theme "Factoring and Debt Financing". 

The training of the West African Centre for Training and Banking Studies (COFEB) is organized with the objective of "strengthening the skills of actors involved in factoring activities in Africa, in particular Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)". These international webinars are organized for African central banks, credit institutions and microfinance institutions for a period of three days. They will allow a "better knowledge of the evolution of factoring, the challenges for SMEs and financial institutions as well as the implications in terms of financing the economy". As part of this training, it is also a question of "strengthening the appropriation of the regulations that govern factoring activities but also to present the experiences of FCI and Afreximbank in terms of promoting factoring activities and the facilities set up to support SMEs, informs the press release.
