The European currency as well as the greenback saw their rates fall. It is the Dollar which falls the most among the main currencies.

The decline reached -0.55% against the Yen or the Canadian Dollar, and even -0.6% against the Swiss Franc (at 0.9220) then -0.7% against the Pound (1.3860). The Dollar Index fell -0.25% to 92.43 while a 'stat' published today does not explain such disaffection for the greenback. Claims for unemployment benefits fell again by -35,000 the week of August 30 in the United States to stand at 310,000, which is the lowest level recorded since March 2020. The four-week moving average is itself also down and stood at 339,500, down 16,750 from the previous week's level. The Euro also appears a little weakened by the fall in yields, post Christine Lagarde's press conference since it lost 0.3% against the yen and 0.4% against the pound and the Swiss franc.
