On the sidelines of the 53rd anniversary of independence of Equatorial Guinea, the Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC), through a press release, gave an update on its activities in favor of this country. Already 282 billion FCFA of investments have been accounted for.

It is thus 282 billion FCFA of global funds that the BDEAC has already invested for the benefit of this Central African country. Since its creation on December 3, 1975, BDEAC has positioned itself as a major partner in the development process of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. The excellent relations it maintains with this country continued through the opening in April 2012 of its national representation based in Malabo, in order to better identify the concerns of economic operators in the public and private sectors, and provide effective responses to their requests for project financing. This portfolio thus covers both public and private sector operations. Thus, the construction of a cement complex in Akoga, the construction and operation of a 200 megawatt hydroelectric power station in Sendje, to supply all the cities of the continental part of the country with clean and sustainable energy. The construction of a new terminal with an annual capacity of 1 million 910 thousand passengers at Bata International Airport, the construction of the Mama Bang Hospital Center in Bata, the establishment of an aquaculture farm and a tuna processing in San Antonio de Pale (Annobon Island), the construction of a bread flour manufacturing plant in Bata by Harinera and the project to strengthen the health services of Equatorial Guinea, so as not to mention only these flagship projects.
