In its latest "Monthly Oil Market Report" published on Thursday, May 12, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announces that Nigeria is recording a 13% drop in domestic production year-on-year.

EPF reported that Nigeria's oil production posted 1.3 million b/d in April 2022, compared to 1.5 million b/d in the same period in 2021. According to the cartel, Nigeria is recording a 13% drop in its domestic production year-on-year. A decline in spite of which the country maintains its position as the leader in oil production in Africa, even if doubts exist as to its real capacities due to the irregularity of the information provided by the national oil company NNPC.
