The Ivorian government has launched a bancassurance solution, combining savings with hospitalization and death benefits for low-income populations. This initiative aims to promote financial inclusion in the country.

Called "Duo Epargne Hospi", the new solution is the result of a new bancassurance partnership that will enable Prudentiel Belife Insurance and UBA Côte d'Ivoire to support the bancarization policy in Côte d'Ivoire. A policy put in place by the Ivorian government and which has seen a slight increase of 16.5% in 2021.

It aims to promote conventional savings to the detriment of informal savings which, according to the Association of Professionals of Banks and Financial Institutions (APBEF-CI), represents about 80% of national savings, a figure estimated in 2020 at CFAF 5,300 billion.
