The President of the West African Development Bank (WADB), Serge Ekué, attended the post-graduation ceremony at HEC Paris on Saturday, June 11, 2022 on the Jouy-en-Josas campus. Speaking as the guest of honor, he emphasized the potential of Africa due to its growing demography, the dynamism of its youth and the entrepreneurial opportunities.

A former student of HEC Paris, President Serge Ekué is the first African personality to be the guest of a graduation ceremony of this school. "I still remember my graduation because I was bold, bright-eyed, focused, experienced and proud to be part of a community of destiny and responsibility. " said Serge Ekué in his speech. The President of the Bank recalled the challenges that the graduates of the school will have to face in a rapidly changing world but also the potential of Africa due to its growing demography, its economic growth and its economic development.He also highlighted the potential of Africa's growing population, dynamic youth and the opportunities to contribute to its sustainable and inclusive development. "Africa has an entrepreneurial potential; its youth is building the future. Every day, the many SMEs on the continent innovate and invent tomorrow's successes for Africa but also for the world," he said. It should be noted that in January 2022, HEC Paris and the BOAD set up the "Yennenga" training certification program in response to the ambition to strengthen human capital set out in the 2021 strategic plan.This program is in line with the BOAD's 2021-2025 strategic plan, known as the DJOLIBA plan, and will train some twenty women per year for three years.
