73% of containers leave empty from the Port of Dakar. The port traffic statistics of the Autonomous Port of Dakar (Pad) show that only 27% of the containers that arrived at the Pad leave full. Looking closely, as the Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, Aboubacar Sadikh Bèye, attests, the statistics show that “73% of the containers that arrive at the Pad leave empty”.
