Makein is back on the bond market. One month after the lifting of economic and financial sanctions imposed by ECOWAS, the country launched this Tuesday, August 9, a loan of 270 billion CFA francs.

The Malian authorities are working to record the country's return to the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (WAMU). An operation of "support and resilience bonds and equivalent recovery bonds" was launched to repay the debt arrears accumulated in recent months, while the country was under economic and financial embargo by the Community of West African States (ECOWAS). This transaction takes place on the regional public securities market, eight months after the country's last exit in December 2021.
