The French construction giant via its branch Eiffage Génie Civil Marine has won the contract to renovate and extend the docks and the basin of the only port in Benin.

The design and implementation of the works to modernize the basin and quays of the Autonomous Port of Cotonou in Benin is entrusted to the company Eiffage. In detail, the contract is worth more than 160 million euros, of which Eiffage shares represent around 119 million euros, or nearly 75%. The work to extend the port basin and renovate the northern quays of Benin's only port will take 48 months. Thus, the study phase for the design and methods will last five months before the actual start of construction, in the first quarter of 2023.
