The Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) and the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) signed on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the development of sustainable finance in the UEMOA zone.

This new partnership focuses primarily on sustainable finance, marks the first official step of a cooperation project aimed at strengthening sustainable finance in the space of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). The Director General of BRVM Edoh Kossi Amenounvè welcomed the signing of this protocol with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange for the development of sustainable finance within the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).

The BRVM works for greater financial integration of the eight countries of the Uemoa namely Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. A pioneer in sustainable finance, LuxSE is the leading listing place for international debt securities.
