The United States has sanctioned New Delhi, an Indian petrochemical company, for facilitating the sale and shipping of Iranian petroleum products to end users in South and East Asia, including China

In a statement, the US Treasury Department said that the India-based petrochemical company Tibalaji Petrochem Private Limited had purchased ; for millions of dollars worth of petrochemicals, including methanol and base oil, to ship to China. These purchases were brokered by another blacklisted company, Triliance Petrochemical Co Ltd Network, which was described by the United States as an essential component of Iran's oil and petrochemical sectors. According to official sources, the Indian company was not facilitating any oil exports from Iran to India.
