On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the Caisse des Det Consignation de Côte d'Ivoire (CDC-CI) in collaboration with CDG Capital of Morocco signed a technical agreement to establish a subsidiary responsible for managing the Long-term Investment Facility (FILT) in Abidjan.

The signing of the agreement between CDC-CI and CDG Capital of Morocco is part of the Competitive Value Chains for Employment and Economic Transformation Project (PCCET). CDG Capital, is a company specialized in financial engineering and investment advice. According to the PCCET coordinator, Arthur Coulibaly, the Long-term Investment Facility (FILT) will have a budget of $70 million from PCCET through progressive disbursements on the $200 million loan mobilized by the & Eacute; State of Côte d'Ivoire at the World Bank. “FILT will have two major objectives. On the one hand, improving the access of startups and young SMEs to pre-seed, seed and venture capital funding, especially those led by women. And on the other hand, improving the access of large companies operating in agricultural value chains to long-term equity and quasi-equity financing, in particular with a view to carrying out green investment projects,” he said.

On the side of the CDC-CI's managing director, Lassina Fofana, the signing of this agreement will launch the process of setting up FILT, a “real tool for strengthening activities& information from the CDC-CI to Ivorian companies.”

According to the information, FILT will be operational from June 2023 to make effective the PCCET, which itself is part of the Côte d'Ivoire 2030 Strategic Plan and the Government program “Une Côte d'Ivoire in solidarity”.
