During the 2022 edition of the Africa SME Champions Forum, it was announced that the partners of the Coalition of African SMEs mobilized more than 40 million dollars to support the private sector.

The 7th edition of the Africa SME Champions Forum was co-organized by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and supported by AfricSearch. It brought together more than 400 of Africa's top SMEs, angel investors and ecosystem builders, institutional finance organizations, venture capitalists, and ecosystem builders, exceeding expectations.

Indeed, 300 million dollars had been committed to helping SMEs during 2022 according to BADEA and an additional 40 million dollars were allocated to them ; s. According to Fahad Abdullah Al-Dossari, Chairman of the BADEA Board of Directors, “Like many of you here today, we are aware of the transformative potential and the economic power of African SMEs to achieve BADEA's vision of promoting co-op Arab-African economic ration”.
