On September 30, 2022, the Zenith Bank Plc banking group announced its unaudited results for the third quarter ended. It thus recorded an impressive double-digit growth of 20% in gross profit, from NGN 518.7 billion reported in Q3 2021 to NGN 620.6 billion in Q3 2022.

The performance recorded by Zenith Bank Plc demonstrates the Group's resilience in the face of a difficult macroeconomic environment. Revenue growth was driven by growth in interest and non-interest income according to the account not presented on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX). As a result of the growth of risky assets and the improvement in prices, interest income increased by 27%, from NGN 308.8 billion to NGN 390.8 billion. Thus, earnings per share (EPS) from 9% to NGN 5.55 billion were also strengthened. Similarly, the group also recorded a 13% year-on-year increase in pre-tax income, from NGN 179.8 billion in Q3 2021 to NGN 202.5 billion in Q3 2022, with the bank's double-turnover growth also contributing to net income.
