On Friday, November 18, 2022, there was a meeting between the President of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) Commission with the technical and financial partners. This meeting allowed UEMOA to take stock of the projects and programs it is implementing with funding from these external partners.

For the projects and programs currently being implemented in UEMOA member countries, the technical and financial partners have invested 130 billion CFA francs. UEMOA and its partners have reviewed these projects and programmes.

The partners' investments focus respectively on public finances with the Fiscal Transition Support Programme in West Africa financed by the European Union for 6.5 billion CFA francs. They also provide regional statistics with a World Bank project worth more than 22 billion FCFA francs. Trade with the West African Trade Facilitation Programme managed jointly by the UEMOA Commission and ECOWAS for an amount of more than 320 million CFA francs. This last program was multi-donor funded by the European Union, the Netherlands, Denmark, USAID, GIZ and the World Bank Group.
