Three are these rare start-ups that are deployed in several African countries. Africa is a continent that offers opportunities, but it remains complex to generate income.

The French VTC start-up launched its service in Mali this week. An African dream was pursued by Heetch. In Mali, few French Tech start-ups try their luck. The founder of the young company, Teddy Pellerin, recalled that they are present in 11 markets around the world, including 8 in Africa.

In reality, the adventure started in North Africa, with launches in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The company has gone on an assault on Lusophone (Angola) and French-speaking African countries (Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali).

VelyVelo, a tricolour specialist in cycling, crossed the Mediterranean and started his business in Casablanca (Morocco). “At the beginning, our investors thought we wanted to have a good time because we are of Moroccan origin,” said Asmaa Chakir Alaoui, the co-founder of the start-up. “Last-mile logistics are in turmoil in Morocco. There is an increasingly important middle class for whom delivery is becoming a consumer habit,” thinks Asmaa Chakir Alaoui.

Born in Orange Africa, Bizao raised 8 million for its part to deploy its payment platform on this continent. It should be noted that the FairMoney and Paysika neobanks also have ambitions there.
