The Bloomfield agency has increased the long-term rating awarded a year ago to the Société de Distribution d'Eau en Côte d'Ivoire (SODECI), in its 2022 rating covering the period August 2022 to July 2023. This grade therefore goes from AA- to AA with a stable outlook.

The revised long-term rating from SODECI has for good reason the very high certainty of timely reimbursement. According to the rating team, liquidity factors are excellent and supported by good essential element protection factors. Also, the team believes that the risk factors are minor.

Indeed, the rating is based on certain positive factors, including the implementation of actions to increase operational efficiency, which results in an improvement in the billing ratio. Continued implementation of the strategic plan aimed at transforming society or the ability to achieve the budgetary objectives set for the 2021 financial year. An increase in turnover was still driven by the Water business, whose operations continued to grow, followed by a fall in the level of debt and the continuation of State projects for the development of the hydraulic sector.

Furthermore, the company's short-term rating is still maintained at A1- with a stable outlook.
