On Thursday, January 12, 2022, the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari said that the country was working closely with Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The objective of the two partners is to fight against insecurity in the West African subregion.

Buhari has received credentials from new ambassadors posted in Nigeria. It calls for the cooperation of these countries to overcome security problems in the subregion. To do this, he invites friendly countries to support efforts to address insecurity, fight corruption, diversify économie and promote good governance.

According to him, “sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, local manufacturing, pharmaceutical products, agri-food, transport, and solid mineral resources are areas of interest. especially for us as well as for foreign investors.” “This will allow us to make collective efforts to resurrect the economies of each of our countries in the post-pandemic recovery process” he announced.
