At the end of the trading day on Thursday, February 16, 2023, the three flagship indices of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) recorded 6 days of uninterrupted increases.

The improvement in the indices began on Thursday, February 9, 2023 and continued until February 16, exactly one week of increases. Indeed, the BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market) recorded an increase of 0.81% to 102.04 points compared with 101.22 points the day before. The composite index (the general stock market index) gained 0.59% to 205.80 points compared with 204.59 points the day before. Then the BRVM Prestige Index (which includes all the stocks listed in the Prestige compartment) rose by 0.55% to 106.29 points compared with 105.71 points the day before.

In addition, the total value of transactions went up a notch, from 489.639 million FCFA the day before to 767.091 million FCFA on February 16, 2023. As for the stock market capitalization, it recorded an increase of 45.137 billion to 7656.348 billion FCFA compared to 7611.211 billion FCFA the day before. While the bond market remained stable at 9748,941 billion FCFA.

The top 5 largest price declines were occupied by SAFCA Ivory Coast (minus 6.40% to 950 FCFA), SMB Ivory Coast (minus 5.08% to 7100 FCFA), Uniwax Côte d'Ivoire (minus 5.03% to 755 FCFA), Sicable Côte d'Ivoire (minus 4.46%) at 1 070 FCFA) and Sucrivoire (Côte d'Ivoire) Ivory (minus 3.61% at 800 FCFA). And the TOP 5 largest price increases were respectively occupied by Bolloré Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.20% to 1,340 FCFA), Sicor Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.66% to 6,165 FCFA), Filtisac Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.02% to 1,145 FCFA), NSIA Banque Côte d'Ivoire (plus 4.17% to 5,000 FCFA) and CFAO Côte d'Ivoire (plus 4.05%) at 900 FCFA).
