Sources within the Burkina Faso Post Office confirmed the information that was already circulating on social networks. According to the information, the head of the interim agency of the Post Office of Po is wanted for embezzlement worth several million FCFA, a search notice issued by the Police Services.

A note from the police informs that “René Nonguierma, the interim agency head of the Burkina Faso Post Office in Pô, previously domiciled there, allegedly misappropriated funds amounting to 87 million two hundred sixty seven hundred seventy-five (87 260 775) FCFA to the detriment of the Post Office BF of Pô”. Indeed, the person named René would have left the city of Po in the evening of March 1, 2023 at around 6 pm and remains unreachable until this day. The Burkina Faso post confirmed this note through Lamine Diarra, head of the communication department of the Burkina Faso Post Office, in these words, “we can confirm that the agent is not there and remains unreachable until now.”

For this reason, a meeting was held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 and a statement was made according to Lamine Diarra.
