On Saturday, March 18, 2023, the National Investment Bank (BNI) branch was officially opened by the Bondoukou sub-prefect, Sonh Laurent. Present on the occasion were Mayor Koné Hiliassou and the second vice-president of the Gontougo Regional Council, Kra Vincent.

The Deputy Prefect of Bondoukou announced that the National Investment Bank will contribute to improving the living conditions of the people of Gontougo and to reducing poverty through these products and services. For him, this banking institution will support the local market for the economic and sustainable development of this area. For his part, Jérôme Ahua, deputy managing director of this banking institution, believes that this 53rd agency participates in a policy of proximity, of bringing economic actors closer together. According to him, latest-generation machines will allow withdrawal and deposit operations, with a view to supporting the development of Côte d'Ivoire.
