The African Development Bank (AfDB) announced that the worksite of the Alternance Training Institute for the Development of Renewable Energies in Lomé (IFAD-ENR) started in 2021 has an implementation rate of around 72%, and should be delivered in July 2023.

The IFAD-ENR construction program is co-financed by the African Development Bank and the Government of Togo. This program is part of the Togo-Burkina Faso community road rehabilitation project. He was the subject of a field visit on 8 March last by the resident representative of the financial institution in Togo Wilfrid Abiola.

In reality, at the end of its construction, the structure, which will be built within the Adidogomé Technical High School, should have a capacity of 330 students per promotion, trained for a vocational baccalaureate specializing in renewable energies (solar, photovoltaic, wind and bioenergy).

The manager was accompanied by representatives of several partners, including KFW in Togo, IFAD Bâtiments, the Education and Development Agency (AED), in charge of the IFAD project in Togo. It aims to meet the country's need for qualified renewable energy technicians and to strengthen vocational education in this field.
