The Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET) has received four cybercrime cases in which 36 Nigerians are being prosecuted. The judge in charge of the cases released 15 individuals on the benefit of the doubt and convicted 21 of them.

21 Nigerians were sentenced to 5 years in prison. The judge imposed 5 years in prison and a fine of one million CFA francs on the 6 defendants in the first case. Two people were sentenced to 5 years in prison, including 03 farms and a fine of one million CFA francs in the second case. 10 also received 5 years in prison and 10 million CFA francs in a fine on the third case, then the last one indicates 4 criminals, 3 of whom were sentenced to 5 years in prison including 3 years in prison, and a fine of one million CFA francs.
