Daniel (Dan) Romasko is appointed to the Suncor Energy Board of Directors. This appointment is consistent with the cooperation agreement signed with Elliott Investment Management dated July 16, 2022, as amended. It came into force on 23 March last.

Suncor Energy Chairman Michael Wilson said he is pleased to welcome Dan to the Suncor Board. According to him, he has extensive leadership experience in the energy industry and the refining sector, including more than a decade spent in a senior position in Suncor's oil sands business. Wilson said, “Dan's valuable expertise will complement the skill set of board members and we look forward to working with him.

Romasko was most recently president and CEO of Enlighten Innovations, a technology manufacturing company specializing in heavy oil desulfurization and ceramic membranes for re sodium recovery. He also served as president and CEO of Motiva Enterprises LLC, a leading refining (~1,000,000 barrels/day), distribution, and marketing transportation fuels and lubricating base oils in the eastern, southern, and Gulf Coast of the United States. In addition to these experiences, he served as Executive Vice President, Operations for Tesoro, a major refiner in the United States.
