Pierre Ngou Dimba, Minister in charge of Health in Côte d'Ivoire, officially launched work at the Dimbokro Regional Hospital Center (CHR). It was on Friday, March 24, 2023 in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Adama Coulibaly, the Minister-Governor of the Autonomous District of the Lakes, Raymonde Goudou Coffie as well as technical and financial partners.

10 health establishments, characterized by obsolete infrastructures and the antiquity of some services and technical facilities, will soon be rehabilitated and equipped with state-of-the-art state-of-the-art equipment. The launch of work is part of the Project to bring reference hospitals in Côte d'Ivoire up to standard (PMNHCI). Indeed, thanks to the dynamic collaboration between the Ivorian government and the ECOWAS Investment and Development Bank (ECOWAS), the overall cost of this work, estimated at 39.096 billion CFA francs, has been met.

The work will be carried out in two phases. A first that will consist in the rehabilitation of 3 Regional Hospital Centers (CHRs) in Abengourou, Dimbokro, and Séguéla. The infrastructural transformation of the 2 Urban Health Centers (CSU) in Akouédo and Rubino into General Hospitals and the rehabilitation of 5 General Hospitals (HG) including Bangolo, Bouna, Daoukro, Tanda and Toumodi. The second consists of equipping and training national actors in the optimal use of the new equipment will be carried out over a period of 30 months.
