On Monday, March 27, 2023, the Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET) sentenced a customs officer to 10 years in prison. He is accused of issuing false receipts to traders.

When clearing products, the issuance of false receipts is a loss for the State. Indeed, a customs officer posted in Sakété, in the Plateau department, issued a false receipt to a petroleum products carrier worth 900,000 CFA francs. His colleagues discovered the rose pot and seized the police. Faced with the judges of the special jurisdiction on Monday, he admitted the facts against him. He was thus sentenced to 10 years in prison, including 05 years in prison.
