On Thursday, March 30, 2023, a woman presumed to be the boss of cybercriminals in Benin was interviewed at the Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET). The special jurisdiction requested a sentence of 05 years in prison against her.

The supposed boss of cybercriminals in Benin was arrested on March 1 by elements of the Central Office for the Suppression of Cybercrime (OCRC). She was before CRIET judges last Thursday. The latter has denied the facts alleged against her, but will be confused by the information contained in the report. Indeed, she could not justify the data extracted from her mobile phone, and the 59 bank cards from foreign countries seized at her home during the search carried out after her arrest. She was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a fine of 01 million CFA francs. The verdict of the Court will be known at the hearing on 27 April.
