The case of two Beninese soldiers prosecuted for abuse of office and sale of ammunition was examined at the Economic Offences and Terrorism Court (CRIET).

Two Beninese soldiers in pre-trial detention since January 3, 2023 have been presented to the Economic Offences and Terrorism Court (CRIET). Indeed, one of the soldiers, an instructor at the Ecole Normale des Officiers (ENO) in Toffo, took ammunition during one of his training courses. These munitions were then sold to another soldier. The two soldiers were thus arrested and put in prison.

The public prosecutor requested 2 years in prison and 500,000 FCFA in fines against the military instructor and requested 3 years in prison and 1,000,000 FCFA in fine against the second.
