The head of the African Space Program, Tidiane Ouattara announced at a press conference that the 2nd edition of the NewSpace Africa international conference will take place from 25 to 28 April 2023, in Abidjan.

Planned on the theme “space for a transformation of the African economy”, the 2nd edition of the NewSpace Africa international conference aims to promote and support sustainable innovations and space solutions on the African continent. According to Tidiane Ouattara, NewSpace is “the new period in which space science and technology are located.” 20 companies, including 10 from Ivory Coast, will be equipped in the field of space technology. According to him, several activities will furnish this international event, including exhibitions, panels, conferences and an African Union (AU) - European Union (EU) round table

The presidents of all African and global space agencies, space and satellite industry leaders, investors, and American and French space commands will take part in this international conference.
