The Research and Investigation Brigade of the Directorate General of the National Police (BRI—DGPN) announced on Thursday, April 20, 2023, the dismantling of a network of crooks whose mode of operation is to make false contracts for supply of electricity Rooms at hotels in Togo

The security services have repeatedly denounced a group of individuals who are engaging in fraudulent contracts to supply spices to hotels in Togo or to supply honey to an expatriate importer. Following these complaints, the BRI-DGPN opened an investigation. Investigations and information made it possible to arrest three (03) individuals, all of Cameroonian nationality13 April 2023, in a home in the Kodjoviakopé district in Lomé

The search of their home made it possible to find and seize mobile phones, several GSM kits from Togocom and Moov Africa, minutes of meetings of certain companies, attendance lists at meetings with participants' telephone contacts. The National Police invites the population to always be vigilant and not to send money to a person without being assured of their credibility.
