The International Monetary Fund has reached an agreement with the government of Niger on new financing of approximately 133 million US dollars.

From April 25 to May 9, 2023, a team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) services, led by Antonio David, organized meetings on the third review of the three-year agreement supported by the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) for Niger, as well as on the establishment of a new program supported by the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (FRD)

The members of the mission met with the Prime Minister, Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou, and the President of the National Assembly, Seini Oumarou organized working sessions with the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ahmat Jidoud, and others, in addition to representatives of the private sector and technical and financial partners.
