The Banker of the Year 2022 award at the 2022 Champion Newspapers' Awards of the Year was won by the managing director/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe.

Champion Newspapers Awards of the Year 2022 was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites over the weekend and brought together the best players from the country's public and private sectors. According to the president of the event and CEO of the National Arts and Culture Council, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, when hard work and integrity are not rewarded, mediocrity would be encouraged. He believes that “the winners have undoubtedly gone through a rigorous selection process, a careful and meticulous review to have been deemed suitable, appropriate in all ramifications. They are therefore worthy and deserving of these prestigious awards

noted that Onyeali-Ikpe received the 2022 Banker of the Year Award at the 14th Annual Conference and Leadership Awards in January 2023 and the Best Banking CEO Nigeria 2023 award at the 2023 Global Banking & Finance Awards in April 2023.
