The north-east of Nigeria, the epicenter of a jihadi insurgency, is in mourning. 11 farmers have been slaughtered by suspected Jihadists.

Men suspected of belonging to the Boko Haram group slaughtered 11 farmers in northeastern Nigeria. Attackers aboard several motorbikes stormed farms in the village of Kuwayangiya, 15 km from the regional capital Maiduguri in Borno state, before slitting the throats of 11 farmers, three anti-jihadi militia members said

.

"The insurgents rounded up eleven farmers who were working in their fields, tied their hands behind their backs, and slit their throats,” said Babakura Kulo, militia leader.
