The Compagnie Minière de l'Ogooué, the Gabonese subsidiary of the French group Eramet, achieved a net profit of 197 billion FCFA compared with 89 billion in 2021, an increase of 121%. These data come from a press release published following a meeting of the Board of Directors on June 15, 2023. An increase in profits that reflects the good performance of the mining company. These results reinforce COMILOG's status as the world's leading manganese producer. In 2022, COMILOG reached a production of 7.5 million tons of ore, an increase of more than 7% compared to 2021. A volume of 7.2 million t of ore transported and nearly 7.3 million t shipped were reached. That is +10% year-on-year. Also, sales reached 926 billion FCFA in 2022 compared with 580 billion in 2021, an increase of 60%, mainly due to the increase in volumes sold and to a favourable situation in terms of sales prices and exchange rates
